September 2015

September was full of fun, here's a look at what we did...

Elle loves to paint! Sometimes in the dollar bins at Target they have these little paint sets, this was a little wooden owl box that came with paint.  It is one of her favorite things to do. Although truth be told there was a meltdown when the little tube of glitter that came with it ran out. Just keeping it real. :)

The adventures of shopping with PawPaw...she came home with the purple Sophia coat and she LOVES it!

She wasn't able to talk PawPaw into buying the boat though. :)

Doodle bugs!

Ollie tried mashed potatoes and yogurt for the first time this month.  He was unsure about the potatoes but loved the yogurt.  He also tried yogurt drops and cheese puffs...both of which he loves!  He is picking up food and starting to feed himself.

Elle won tickets to the Mizzou home opener for being the cutest fan at the Rascals game.  Eric and Elle braved the heat to go to the game.

And then headed to Eric's parents house to celebrate Grandma Chris's birthday.  Eric's mom kept Oliver while they were at the game and Eric said Elle was so antsy and immediately wanted to drive back to get him when they got to Columbia. She worries about her little brother.

While all of this was going on I was in Nashville for my friend Keri's bachelorette party.  It was a quick trip, the car of girls I was with left Saturday morning around 6am and we were back on the rode by 7am Sunday morning.

So happy to be back home to my little lovebugs.

Our diva...she even requests no ice cubes in her water...

and the happiest little guy I know.

They look sweet and innocent don't they? #smokeandmirrors

This is a little closer to reality!

Ollie said his first word in September, "mama"!!!! The first time he said it he was eating lunch with Elle and Eric.  He said it again about a week later in front of me, I took this pic right after I heard him say it for the first time.

Hi second word, "dada" was also this month.  Now we are working on getting him to say "sissy"

Ice cream after dinner...dressed as a butterfly of course.

Elle has turned into my mini-me. The girl shadows my every move and walks, talks and acts just like her mama.  Eric has told me if I'm not home she talks to Ollie exactly like I do. She has heard me say the dogs drive me bananas so she will repeat "these dogs drive me na-nanas!"  Apparently I also say "you gotta be kidding me!" because I hear her say this constantly!

Oliver loves trying to catch water from the faucet while taking a bath.  He loves to splash, splash, splash his little heart out and unlike Elle loves to have water poured on his head.

On Monday mornings I make a cup of coffee and plan our meals and grocery list for the week.  Elle likes to grab her "coffee" and write her list with me.

Taking her puppy for a walk.

Elle can fall asleep anywhere!  She was laying on the floor and I was on the couch giving Oliver a bottle.  I kept asking her questions and thought she was just zoned in on the TV ignoring me...turns out she fell asleep. :)

Check out Henry's new stylish haircut.  He wanted it long enough to spike the top. And how much does he look like Mary in this picture?!

Enjoying a picnic in the backyard on a nice day.

I let Elle camp out in the living room one night. She was so excited!!

Elle wrote her name for the first time in Will's birthday card! Of course I asked for the card back once he opened it so I could include it in her baby book.  Will's not the sentimental type to hold onto things like this so I knew it would end up in the trash if it stayed in his hands. :)

Happy 26th Birthday, Unc!

Elle is starting to use the potty by herself but isn't fully potty trained.

Love these two to pieces!

Elle and Ollie had a popcorn party at MawMaw and PawPaw's one Saturday night while Eric and I went to a wedding.  Elle packed movies, pj's and popcorn to take.

This was the scene at our table at dinner. They must watch the Mizzou game.

.

while we gossip and talk the whole time.

Grocery shopping with my 2 babes. Elle always wants to walk or push her own cart, it is a weekly battle of bribery to get her to ride in the cart.

My boy wants to be held all. the. time.  He is turning into a huge mama's boy...and I love it!

I walked into the cutest little tea party one day.

Oliver ran his first fever in September and actually got sick.  My poor boy.

One night at dinner Elle told me, "this sure is good, mom".  She is the sweetest thing in the world and my bestest buddy!
