Great Wolf Lodge

Saturday morning after Trunk or Treat we woke up and loaded into Mary's car to take to kids to "breakfast"

After looking at their land in Warrenton and stopping for a quick breakfast at McDonalds we let the kids know our bags were packed and we were headed to Great Wolf Lodge!
Elle has been asking to go back constantly over the past 2 years so she was so excited...Ollie just went along with all the happy screaming in the car. :)

After a loooong and loud drive we finally arrived!

The kids loved the room and really loved the bunk beds!

After some quick snacking in the room we changed to hit the pool!

After swimming everyone changed into jams to head to the lobby. One of the things I love about going here is all the activities that are constantly happening in the lobby. There is always something to do.

We did some trick or treating...

fell in love with all the Halloween decorations...

and then headed to their restaurant for dinner.

After dinner we went to the wand shop where Elle and Henry got wands, Dude picked out a sword and Charlie wanted a stuffed animal.

The wands can be used all over the hotel (even the restaurant) for magic. Trees light up, paintings talk, etc. They LOVED it!

Posing with his sword.
He slowly caught on that his sword didn't do magic like the wands.

We headed back down to the lobby for story time and the dance party.

Posing with Oliver the raccoon.

Day 2, still in their same jams and headed to the breakfast buffet.
Please notice we now have 4 wands. We had to make another stop for Ollie and Charlie.

After swimming we showered and headed to the cupcake decorating taking place in the restaurant.

Most night at Great Wolf Lodge end at The Bear Paw for ice cream.

That night we decided to head outside the resort for dinner. All the swimming and late nights caught up with this sweet girl at the restaurant.

She napped like this for at least 30 minutes.

These 4 are crazy but oh so CUTE!

The next morning we packed up and hit the road for home.

We already can't wait to go back!

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is something we look forward to at Elle's school every year. It is always the Friday before Halloween and a great way to kick off all the trick or treating fun.

This year I had Mal from Descendants and Buzz Lightyear with me.

Our trunk decorations are always pretty simple and mostly the same year after year. One of these years we will do something big and fun.

Elle and that purple wig fought with each other all night long!

To infinity and beyond!
Year 2 of being Buzz Lightyear and this year required a costume upgrade. Dude was pretty happy about it!

Shooting the dinosaurs with his laser.

The cutest 2 Harry Potters came to join the fun!

Loving Elle's sassy Mal pose.

My favorite witch.

Ready to trick or treat!

After trick or treating Mary and the boys came to our house for a slumber party. We had a big surprise for them in the morning!!!

FALL

It's not Fall without new Halloween pj's! I also give the kids new ones on September 1st to celebrate the start of Fall (at least the start of Fall in the Hylton house). New jams + a house decorated for Fall + pizza = one perfect night!

I found this picture on my phone, love these Voss boys!

Lunch on our 10 year anniversary!

Baking Halloween cookies. They love for me to turn the oven light on so they can watch them bake.

My mom gave Elle this doll that my Aunt Dot gave her years ago. Elle loves it!

The sweetest little Dude. I know he's mine but he really is the sweetest.
I love when I ask him to do something and he says, "ok mom! Good idea! Good idea!"

Saturdays at the soccer field.

One (cold) Saturday night we went to Elle's school for their Fall Festival.

She ran into her best buddy Sophia.

All 4 on the Scrambler.
They stopped mid ride because Ollie kept sliding down. Dude is still a little too small for this ride.

Afterwards we all went to mom and dad's for pizza.
Beary was very angry about something. When he gets like this I love to push his buttons. Aunt of the year!

Playing dress up! Loving Ollie's shoes.

Flu shot day, went about as awful as I expected.

Looking good my man!

Elle was sick from school one day so PawPaw dropped off ice cream for her. Can you say spoiled?

We surprised Sissy at school one day for lunch! She was so excited!

School picture day!

The peanuts at Texas Roadhouse are Elle and Ollie's favorite. Elle actually eats them Ollie just likes to have peanut fingers.

A pretty day in the park with my boy while Sissy is at school.

Still sleeping in our bed :)

Elle, Mom and I went to the craft fair at her school, Starbucks and Hobby Lobby together one Saturday. Starbucks in hand and headed into Hobby Lobby, she has never looked more like me!

The trampoline park is Ollie's most favorite place.

We shopped and put together a box for a little girl via Samaritans Purse. Elle did such a great shop shopping for this! We were able to track our box and it traveled to Chile.

Proof that deep down these two actually do like each other.  :)

Paddy is Elle's most favorite person!

We celebrated this sweet boy turning 7!!!

The sweetest baby!

Ollie and all his buds!

When Mom makes you head into Schnucks before you've had your morning chocolate milk.
