PK3

My baby girl just completed her first year of school and I could not be more proud of her!!!!!!

Yesterday we took these pictures on her last day of PK3.
Sissy girl has been SO ready for summer break!

I was SO NERVOUS for her to start school.  This was her first time ever being left in the care of someone outside our family...and I was a ball of nerves! I had no idea how she would react but she did amazing!!!

After her spring break she started to dread school days a bit more but I think she was just burnt out and ready for another break.

She was always in a GREAT mood when I picked her up from school.

I have loved watching her grow and tell me about the things she is learning in class this year.
Number/letters are something we need to work on but anything about the Earth/animals she has an amazing memory with.

I also love the little phrases that she hears in her classroom that she now uses at home all the time:

"sharing is caring"
if she sees trash on the road she says, "that's not protecting the planet!"

I'm not sure if this came from school but one night she told me "if we stick together we can fix any problem!"

Centers and sensory activities were by far her favorite and most talked about activities in class!

This big girl will be going full days next year and she is so excited to be able to eat lunch at school!

I told her we could celebrate her being on summer break and she requested a grilled cheese from Sonic.

On our drive there I heard her ask Ollie what he wanted to get.

She answered for him (she will carry a conversation between the two of them by herself! :) "Ollie wants a boy cheese."

She then responded, "OLLIE! They don't have boy cheese, they only have GIRL cheese!"

And then I realized she doesn't understand that it is called a grilled cheese, in her little mind it's a girl cheese.

My goodness I love this little girl! So excited for a summer with my baby girl before school starts again!

Easter

The night before Easter we colored Easter eggs...

and laid out carrots for the Easter Bunny before bed...notice the ginormous bag of carrots.  We were in Costco when I remembered we would need some for the bunny. :)

So excited for the bunny to come!

Oliver came outside and decided he wanted a carrot which Sissy wasn't on-board with initially.

But once he started crying she came around to the idea.

The only time in his life this child has ate a carrot.

Now off to bed before the bunny skips our house. ;)

Elle woke us up early saying "Mommy!! Daddy!! There is a swingset outside!" She had gotten up to use the bathroom and saw it through our bedroom window. She was so excited!!

Since it was raining first we walked to the kitchen to check their baskets.

Then we checked to see if he had enjoyed the carrots we left.

We hunted eggs on the deck.

Ollie would just open each egg and eat the treat as he went. :)

After the egg hunt the rain stopped and we headed to the new swing-set!!

After playing for a bit we got ready and headed to church. These two in their Easter outfits just kill me!!!

Then we went to Eric's aunts house for lunch. I have zero pictures because Ollie was into everything he shouldn't have been and Elle was on my phone the entire time, she wasn't in the mood to socialize. :)

We came home for naps then headed to my mom and dads house for our next Easter celebration.

The kids loved the egg hunt outside!

Henry was by far the egg hunt champion!

Going through their Easter baskets from MawMaw and PawPaw!

The Mulligan cousins!

Look at that little blue tongue from his sucker!

Mary, Will and Henry were playing baseball in the backyard and Sissy wanted a turn.

Her at bat tested every ounce of Will's patience. :)
She can be a stubborn little thing!

Easter Fun!

In the Hylton house we love a holiday and Easter is one of Elle's favorites.

So we kicked off Easter week with a visit to see the Easter Bunny!

Elle was so excited when it was our turn, she ran right up and gave him a hug.

Ollie didn't cry which is an improvement but he also wasn't happy about it. He just kind of sat there in a daze.

Friday night when we got home from work and MawMaw's house we made resurrection rolls for the first time.  They were so fun to make and were delicious! Definitely going to make this an Easter tradition, Elle couldn't get enough of them!

While the rolls cooked I did some holiday chalkboard doodling, one of my favorite things to do.

We met Mary, Charlie and my mom Saturday morning for the egg hunt.  Henry had a soccer game and missed out.

I wanted a picture of them on our way out the door but Ollie was in no mood for pics!

Egg hunt time!

Girlfriend rocked the egg hunt this year!!

Everybody stand together for a picture!

Charlie was super unsure about seeing the Easter Bunny, I think he almost jumped out of his shorts when the bunny went to give him a high five!

One last visit before he stops at our house!!
