Life Lately

The Monday after Easter Oliver had his 1st birthday photo shoot. It was a month late but I am SOOO glad we did it.  The pictures turned out so cute!! I will include more in an upcoming post.

These two have been loving their table from the Easter bunny. They have been eating most of their lunches and snacks here.  Oliver is a little wobbly sitting here so he is sometimes moved to his highchair but he loves sitting with his sissy.

Wednesdays are our "Mondays"...this little lady wasn't quite ready to greet the day.

We scheduled a VVA donation pickup and Elle helped me go through items to donate.  As I was getting the boxes all ready to be set out the night before Elle drew 2 smiley face pictures for the people receiving the donations.  My sweet sweet girl. So proud to be her mama.

Elle is just getting so much older. Sometimes she does something little and I realize how big of a girl she is.  I was in Oliver's room changing her and she was done with her lunch but she wanted to save the rest.  When I came back to her table I asked where her plate went...thinking good Lord, is it on the floor...in the trash, she said "in the fridge". She put her leftovers in the fridge! I live for little things like this.

Notice the 2 prescription bottles, both babes were fighting off another round of ear infections.

Eric was working so it was a crazy Friday night for me, Elle and Ollie.  Dinner and Alice in Wonderland.

We went to Mary's house for a BBQ one Sunday. I love the look on Elle's face her.  She is so over something...not sure what.

Hen is giving both Elle and himself bunny ears here. :)

So Chay Chay decided to get him back!

Elle made pizza for us one night!  I let her do the sauce, cheese and pepperoni's.  She did such a great job and was so proud of the dinner she made.

Fishing with daddy!  Eric took her shopping first for a new light up Barbie fishing pole and mermaid tackle box.  Eric said employees in the store were asking to take her picture, he asked if it was for the company Facebook page or website and when they said no just for their cell phone he told them no! haha I thought that was so funny.

While they were fishing I stayed home with Ollie.  I rearranged their cup cabinet and found alone bottle.  It was then that I realized I couldn't remember the very last bottle he took, the very last bottle I would ever give one of my babies and that made me so sad. So....doodle got a bottle at nap time.  I wanted to remember the very last one.

And then he woke up and started chewing on the super fancy strap that keeps our baby gate secure (as a baby Elle was able to open it once so this little strap was put on as an extra layer of caution).

Out for a family dinner.  The Russell's on one side of the table and me and my girlfriend on the other.

Although the littlest Russell made his way to our side of the table and into my lap by the end of the meal. :)

Sleepy doodles.

My shopping buddy! Eric was working this Saturday night so I took the kids to Old Navy, then to the Dollar Store where I let Elle shop and pick out anything she wanted. #bigspender

She left with pink butterfly wings, a princess nightlight, silly string, popsicles, and a nerf sword for Oliver.

I love this baby belly!

Baby boy is playing with fire.  He knows these are Sissy's beloved chapsticks!

They tiny bit of freedom I give Elle is to go on our enclosed deck while I cook dinner.  It works out perfectly because I can see her from the kitchen and she thinks it's pretty cool to be outside by herself.  Mary and Nick brought her a Little Mermaid bubble wand from Disney World and it is pretty much her favorite thing right now.

I gave them strawberries and whip cream for dessert.  As I was doing the dishes Elle yelled to me,  "Mom! Ollie thinks this is smash cake."
hahaha!

Please note, she changed into her Easter dress before dinner.  Fancy lady!

My world all snuggled up together.

They are both pretty much sleeping in our bed all the time. :)
If Eric is working the three of us just head to my room at bedtime and I never move them to their own room. I like having them next to me. :)

This boy is climbing everything. Elle's stool in the bathroom where she brushes her teeth, the fireplace, the bathtub, the couch.  Everything.

He is so cute I can hardly stand it.

Oliver is officially a walker! This was his first time at the park as a walker.  Things just got a bit crazier keeping track of 2 on the move.

Just having a chat with Buzz Lightyear.

Every time she sees a dandelion she picks one for me and one for Eric.

Ollie had a meltdown one night in the tub.  He was trying to climb out before I even washed him! Turns out he was thirsty. haha

This boy loves his drinks of water (he sits up in the morning and immediately reaches for his cup on my nightstand and says "more") and is very particular about his sippy cup.  If I have a cup with a straw, he NEEDS a cup with a straw.

Another big girl moment. She was done with her sucker so she went in the drawer, got a ziplock bag and put it away. So proud of my big girl!

New Elsa jammies from PawPaw and MawMaw. She stared at herself in the mirror for a good 5 minutes.

Cutest Elsa I've ever seen!

Cool dude.

Out for a night at the park and grocery store. Wild Saturday night!

Notice Elle's little purse.

My gorgeous girl!

I noticed she still has a teeny tiny bit of baby fat on her legs. I'm savoring those tiny little baby rolls.

While Eric and Nick golfed on Sunday the rest of the fam met up to watch the kiddos at the splash pad. It was Ollie's first time and he wasn't sure what to think.

Unc walked him through the water. :)

Bear thought this was a microphone so he would walk by and say, "ello"

After the park Mary and I took the kids for ice cream where we made a summer fun list, all the kids had great ideas of fun things to do this summer.

Oliver's favorite spot to play at our house...the landscaping rocks.

Silly string with my baby girl!

Elle gave me this sticker and "read" to me what it says...

This isn't word for word, just from memory...the sticker said quite a bit :)
"my name was Katie when I was little and Unc cut all the hair off my babies and Elle will buy new babies for my birthday"

What trip to Target is complete with a trip to Starbucks?!

Ollie's first cakepop, he is a fan...a BIG fan!

Easter

Easter morning both babes woke up in bed with us eager to see what the bunny had brought.  Well, Ollie didn't really understand what was happening he just wanted his morning milk. :)

The Easter Bunny brought a table and chairs for them to share.

In Elle's basket she got a new swimsuit, Beauty & the Beast Blu-Ray, Puppy Surprise, swimming googles (or guggles as she calls them), Hunter boots (she calls them muddy puddles boots - this is what Peppa Pig calls her boots...Peppa has yellow ones so Elle wanted the same) and an Easter plate from PBK.

One proud Puppy Surprise Mommy.  Candy, the puppy, had 3 babies...an Easter miracle. :)

Ollie's basket had flip flops, Native shoes, Easter PBK plate, Minion stuffed animal, Johnny Cash t-shirt and a bubble lawn mower.

Next, they started the egg hunt around the house and on the deck.

Eric's parents were out of town this year so we decided to go to an Easter brunch this year.  Eventually we all got dressed and headed to brunch at Bristol.  This was our first time going and it was delicious!!

We didn't have a reservation so we were lucky they even had a table open.  Unfortunately it was a table that didn't allow for a highchair...so Ollie got his first ride in a booster seat.  There wasn't a buckle so Eric had to have an arm on him the whole time and honestly he spent more time in my lap than in the seat.

Elle loved the mini creme brulee...you and me both girlfriend!

On our way out of Bristol.  Our babes were loud, restless and there may have been a meltdown when I left the table, but they sure are cute!!

After naps we headed to my parents house for more Easter fun.  The Voss family was fresh off a plane from Disney World and we were all so excited to see them.

No one does an Easter basket quite like MawMaw and PawPaw.

They also got a new water table!

Waiting upstairs while Mary, Mom and Paige hid Easter eggs.

Let the egg hunt begin!

Once we got home Elle wanted to try on her new outfit from MawMaw & PawPaw. Can you tell she loves it?

Such a fun Easter!!
