Magic House

Mary and I took the kiddos to the Magic House one day this summer.  It was my first time taking the kids and I was immediately shell shocked at how crowded it was on a random Tuesday.

Look at this sleeping doodle. He is the absolute sweetest!

The water table was a hit with the babes.

Hens is trying to go for a swim.

They had a special China exhibit where they had rooms set up to mimic what life is like in China.  They featured a typical home, school, market, park, etc.

The Magic House is such a fun place but it gave me extreme anxiety.  There are several tunnels for kids to climb through that take them to the next level of the Magic House.  Fun for kids, but as a parent you lose them so easily! I wouldn't let Elle climb through 99% of them.  There was one super small one that ended with a slide that I let her go through because I could run to the exit before she got there...but she didn't come out and I went into panic mode. I was wearing a sleeping Ollie in the baby carrier and climbed (while wearing him) through a tiny tunnel.  There was a worker at the top of the slide and I asked if she had seen a little girl in pigtails, she hadn't and my heart dropped.  Mary finally yelled up that she had her, Elle and I must have just missed each other but it was enough for me to be ready to leave.  Not sure that I will want to go back anytime soon.

Since Mary and I never know when to quit when we are ahead we took the kids out to lunch at Dewey's after.  Just another crazy day with our babes. :)

4th of July - 2015

We kicked off our 4th of July weekend with some girl time.  Elle was in need of some one on one mommy time and I will happily take a date night with my best buddy.  Two pedicures and some Italian ice made the perfect night!

She picked pink sparkle for her toes. :)

We had Italian ice at a new place in town.  It was a little chilly sitting outside and to this day whenever we drive past it Elle says, "mommy, remember when we went there and it was so chilly?!"

The next day we woke up and made some treats for the BBQ at MawMaw and PawPaw's house that afternoon.  She tried about a hundred Hershey Hugs and M&M's to make sure they were good while we were baking.

BBQ'in

These two have the oddest relationship.  More often than not they are fighting or purposefully annoying each other.

Aunt Paige and Bear!

That bunny didn't' stand a chance.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

The Voss boys were done in minutes but Elle is a slow one.  Hens decided to speed things up by stealing licks when she wasn't looking.

Firework time!

The next morning we woke up early to go to the parade. We stayed up late the night before and Elle isn't a morning girl anyway so the parade was a little rocky for my oldest. #veryrocky

Oliver was in the stroller with the canopy up, golf umbrella over that and 2 fans on him.  Living the life!

Mr. Missouri

There's a smile!

Home for naps, outfit changes and cooling off.

Babies first 4th!

We went to the O'Fallon fair with Mary, Nick and the boys but left Ollie with mom and dad. It was so hot and the crowds are crazy, I'm sure he had much more fun sitting on MawMaw's lap...one of his favorite places to be.

Side note: Smash Mouth was the headliner and it made me realize we are now old enough to know the main band at the 4th of July fair. I remember going in high school and having no idea who the old band was.  Now I was a mom standing in line for kiddie rides singing along.

Ride time!

We rode the teacups just the 2 of us as the fireworks starting going off.  We were screaming and having so much fun and Elle exclaimed, "Bink and Boke are here!". #imaginaryfriends

Bear was with Uncle E and Nick while we rode most of the rides.  He even had Uncle E hand feeding him snacks.

That mustache is obnoxious.  It was a one day thing for the 4th.

Some popcorn for the short walk back to MawMaw and PawPaw's.

Once back at mom and dad's we had Henry's glow stick party which is now a tradition since he had one in 2014 too. :)

And that's our 2015 4th of July.  I love this holiday but as soon as it's over I'm done with summer and craving Fall.

Father's Day 2015

Father's Day this year was fun.  Elle is at an age where she loves any type of celebration and making a card for someone is pretty much her favorite thing ever.

Ollie oversaw the card making. #thosetoes

Eric's Father's Day spread.

We got him a new set of steak and cutting knives and an iHome outdoor Bluetooth speaker.

My loves.

We met Eric's parents at Cappuccino's for breakfast and in the afternoon headed to mom and dad's house for more Father's Day celebrations.

Bear just wanted a cupcake, that's all he cared about. :)

Opening presents is always a circus. Each babe wants to help .

Hard to contain this little Bear.

PawPaw and all of his babes, they have no idea how lucky they are.

It's so crazy the difference one year can make. Last year I had found out the day before Father's Day that I was pregnant and now we have a bright blue eyed doodle bug.

The Voss babes.

These two have a special bond. :)

The Hylton babes.

Such a fun day celebrating these special guys.  We are so so so so lucky to have them. Love them so much!

Here are some of my favorite pics.
