May

May seems to have come and gone in a blur...such a blur that I'm having trouble remembering what the month contained besides Mother's Day, vacation prep and Eric's 30th.

One thing I have no problem remembering is Elle details and milestones.

- 5/4 identified the color green when painting my nails
- is my shadow, anything I do she wants to do.  Including putting on makeup, cleaning the house, using hairspray, etc.

- if her hair is in her eyes and bothering her she pushed it back with her little hands and will ask for a "pony"
- despite identifying the color green she normal calls out any color as "blue"

- loves the movie Frozen or "zen" as she calls it.  She sings Let It Go but really its just her singing "gooo gooo" We always run around and dance during that part of the movie.
- loves playing with stickers

- LOVES rocks.  Her favorite thing to do is go outside, pick a rock from the landscaping and then go for a walk.  I have to start prepping her when it's almost time to go back in.."Elle it's almost time for dinner, we have to tell your rock bye bye but you can see it again tomorrow".  Sometimes it works and she blows it a kiss, other times she kicks and screams as I carry her inside.  Our child has a pet rock.  Weird.
- loves hiding from the daddy monster at home.  She always runs in her playroom in her little cardboard cottage to hide from him.  I'm always invited in to hide with her, Eric is never extended the invitation to join us. :)

- tickles people on command
- loves foot and back rubs, no idea where she gets this :)

- bad habit of climbing on the ottoman and couches at my parents house and trying to "jump jump".  the words "Eleanor Bailey, get down!" have been uttered several times this past month
- tried watermelon for the first time, still learning you eat the pink part not the green part
- fun with sidewalk chalk!

- loves going on the deck to play with her water table and blow bubbles

- playing with her baby dolls is still one of her favorite things, we change lots of diapers and make countless bottles for them :)
- "Hensy" and "baby" are her bestest buds and she asks about them all the time

- always wants a string cheese before bed, if she finishes it and is still hungry she yells from our bed for daddy to bring her an animal cracker :)

- Nicknames: Elle Belle, Eleanor baby (loves when Henny calls her this!), Roni, booboo

- first ice cream cone

Elle loves this book that St. Nick brought her, it's The Gingerbread Man.  The main reason for her love is she thinks the little old man in the book is "ho ho" aka Santa Claus.

I'm excited for a fun summer with my favorite girl!  I've been meaning to make a Family Summer Bucket list of little activities to do this summer, need to get on that...we are already half way through June!

Eric's 30th Birthday

A couple weeks ago we celebrated Eric's 30th birthday.  His birthday happened to fall on a Friday so Elle and I spoiled him once I got home from work.  Earlier in the week while Eric was working Elle and I worked on a special birthday card for daddy and we got him a new pair of sunglasses.

We tried a new BBQ restaurant called Sugar Fire which was really good...and apparently very popular.  There was quite the line out the door.  Next we stopped at Eric's favorite ice cream place, Fritz's for some dessert.  Elle got her very own little ice cream and she loved it.  This little girl was in a sassy mood and wanted nothing more than to walk around on her own.

On Monday we celebrated his birthday at mom and dads.  Eric requested Mama Rita's homemade pizza and an ice cream cake.  As always Mama Rits put together one of her world famous birthday baskets.

These two babes were very excited to help open gifts!

Charlie bear partied so hard he passed out :)

It was a fun night since we were all so excited to be leaving for our family vacation that Friday...but that's a post for another day. :)
