Memorial Day Weekend

We had the best Memorial Day Weekend this year. The excitement started Thursday night with the news that Will and Paige were headed to the hospital to have Patrick. So after basically not sleeping all night and checking my phone for updates I decided to start my weekend early and take Friday off.

Friday also happened to be Elle's last day of preschool so combine that with knowing we would be meeting Patrick later that day and our excitement was pretty high!

Elle had a great school year! She made friends, learned a lot and comes home with the sweetest little stories and songs.  We were both ready for a summer of sleeping late, staying up late and soaking up our time before she starts Kindergarten in August.

Look how much she has grown!!!!
Makes me so proud and want to cry all at the same time.

Her last day was a 1/2 day so after Ollie and I picked her up we headed straight to the hospital to join everyone in the waiting room.

The kids all stayed entertained as the hours went by with iPads, having PawPaw swing them, walks to Eric's office, the cafeteria, coloring and just watching/listening to the Voss boys. They were extremely entertaining to everyone in the waiting room!

Those crazy Voss boys.

That evening our newest little love, Patrick Dennis, arrived.

Seeing Will as a Dad is the sweetest thing ever.

Mary and I were able to grab Will & Paige dinner and sneak in some solo snuggling time with Paddy!

He is the sweetest little thing ever.

Eric ended up taking the kids to his parents for a BBQ before Patrick arrived Friday night so Saturday evening Eric, Elle and Oliver were all able to meet him for the first time.

Elle brought her phone to take pictures. :)

This little girl was SO EXCITED Paige's entire pregnancy and she immediately fell head over heels for him the second she met him.

She adores him!

Proud Uncle E!
Paige was sweet enough to pack the lovey Elle bought Patrick in their hospital bag and had it out when we arrived at the hospital. Elle was so excited to see him using it!

It should be noted that Oliver was also with us but had no interest in meeting or holding Patrick. Paddy was one month old before Oliver ever acknowledged him and now he loves him. :)

After we left the hospital it was past dinner time and we were all starving. Elle casually mentioned in the car that we should go to her favorite restaurant (Texas Roadhouse) to celebrate her being done with pre-school. How could we deny celebrating this baby girl?!

The rest of the weekend was filled with running errands, playing outside in their pool and heading to Will & Paige's when they got home from the hospital to snuggle Patrick some more.

Such a fun weekend to kick off summer!

Almost Summer

We didn't have much of a Spring this year, we basically jumped from winter to summer.  But there is nothing like the excitement when the weather starts to feel like summer and the countdown to school being out is ON!

One day we sat down and came up with our list of activities we wanted to do over the summer.

We spent lots of time playing outside.

Running through the sprinklers.

Sissy's hair is getting SO long!

We spent tons of time at the park, riding bikes, playing at the tennis courts...

and at the splash pad.

Ollie finished his soccer season, he earned a medal even though he maybe played a total of 3 minutes the entire season. :)
The last game ended right as a huge thunderstorm was rolling in.

One Monday Elle's school had a parade. We decorated our wagon with a Mizzou theme (per Elle's request) and waiting for Elle's class to head outside.

Our girl was excited to see her wagon!

After the parade we met Mary and the boys at Playtime Party Center to play.

Naps for Elle are very rare but even more rare when she lays on me and naps.

Sidewalk chalk after dinner one night.

My very own little British guard.

Anytime he wear these pj's he salutes like the pic below and says "yes sir!"

Ollie is also phasing out of naps. He falls asleep in the car occasionally but nap time at our house is pretty much over. We have moved on to quiet time.

Mom, Dad and Ollie met Mary and the boys for a fun day and sent me this picture.

Celebrating Eric's 34th birthday at Sugar Fire.

These two are the sweetest.
I love picture updates from their time at MawMaw and PawPaw's house.

First Ballet Recital

In May Elle had her first ballet recital. She had been taking classes once a week all year at school and I was SO EXCITED to watch her perform!

Getting her all ready for things like this are some of my most favorite moments ever.

Sissy was rocking that ballet bun!

Good luck kisses from Ollie.

My beautiful girl all ready to go!

It was a rainy night so an umbrella and rain boots only added to the cuteness.
This is my old umbrella I got in the 90's from Silver Dollar City. Probably the only vacation souvenir from my youth I still own.

Once we got there I helped her get in her recital outfit.

The mom's all stayed in the room until it was showtime.

She did such an AWESOME job performing!
They did several little numbers and it was all just the cutest thing ever.

After the show her fan base was all waiting with cheers and flowers.
This is one very loved (and lucky) little girl to have so much support from family.

So cute!

A Voss double Voss boy hug after she changed out of her ballet costume.
Big kudos to Henry & Charlie for quietly sitting through the entire show.

Afterwards we told her she could pick anywhere she wanted to eat and she chose Bread Co.
I think I gushed over her performance the entire dinner because I was the proudest mom ever!

So proud of our Sissy Girl!
