MIZ

This September we took Elle to her first Mizzou game.  Eric has been showing her videos of Truman Tiger so Elle was pretty excited to go see him.

Eric found us amazing seats that came with a parking pass in one of the tailgate lots.  Our set up was quite tame compared to everyone else.  We had a blanket, tiny grill and some chips and cheddar turkey sausages.  It was so neat seeing the pro tailgaters in action, flags flying, TVs set up, huge spreads of food.  I'm pretty sure this is Eric's dream for our family.

It was a pretty hot Saturday so it was perfect that we had club seats so we could also go inside and sit in the a/c for a bit.  Elle enjoyed a nap inside at one point and Eric enjoyed a beer.  These seats are the only area in the stadium where alcohol is served so Eric was pretty pumped.  I told Eric this is the only way I'm going to be able to come to Mizzou games now and he quickly let me know we will most likely never be in these seats again.  He went all out for Elle's first game.

We received a lot of compliments on our adorable sleeping cheerleader :)

Elle was able to spot Truman on the field a few times but never got to meet him.  After the game we were walking back to the car and she noticed all the tiger tails, we told her Truman was taking a nap in people's trunks so she loved going up to pet all the tiger tails.  Eric learned that our car needs a tail of it's own and I learned that having Elle with us helps soften the blow of a Mizzou loss for Eric.

September 2014

In our house Fall starts September 1st.  Which means decorations go up, fall candles are burning and candy corn is being enjoyed (by me, Eric hates it!).

We didn't have a super crazy September.  We celebrated Will's 25th birthday (which I have no pictures of) and we found out we are having a baby BOY!  High five if your excited to meet baby brother!

We had Henry over one day to spend the night while Mary and Nick were at a wedding.  He loves coming over and playing with the "puters" (Elle's toy laptops) and loves putting on this tutu and any headband he can get his hands on.

Wrestling with Uncle E

I love this face.  Look at that little smirk, he is about to do something crazy...

he flashed me...that was the crazy thing.

We celebrated Auggie's 1st birthday.  Baum was sweet and found Elle a balloon to tie on her wrist.  The kiddos were crazy this day.  Elle was a cupcake monster.  Eric had to leave the party early to go to work which left Mary and I with the 3 babes.  Our ride home was interesting!

A bad cold ran through our family in September.  I was the first to get it in our house and it knocked me out!  Daddy dressed Elle this day while I was sick in bed...that's a pj shirt.

Elle loves Vito and Hermann but is still pretty strict with them. I LOVE hearing her yell at them when they are outside ("puppy dog no!" "in the grass" "inside puppy dog!")

When Elle takes baths (always in our big tub) she lays on her stomach and says she's swimming.

Eric and Elle went to a Cardinal game one afternoon and they stopped by my office on their way to say hi.  She was so shy with all my coworkers but I loved seeing this little babe in the middle of my day!

Trying on her new fall boots

Up to no good I'm sure...

Purina Farms

We had a fun little Saturday this summer at Purina Farms.  We had never been before so we were excited to check things out.

We arrived right as the dog show was starting.  They play fun music and bring out several different dogs to do some tricks (catch frisbees, dog runs, jump in the pool, etc.).  Elle had lots of fun watching and clapping her hands along to the music.

After the dog show we walked around to check out some of the other activities.  We got to see some of the dogs in the show as well as some farm animals.   We actually spent a good chunk of our time waiting in line so Elle could get her face painted.  She ended up going with her arm instead of her face and after showing the painter a picture of Olaf she was able to recreate Elle's favorite snowman.

Elle braved going down the big slide...with daddy of course.

Then her lifelong dream :) of riding a pony finally came true!  Seriously, before this Elle had started saying she wanted to ride a horse after seeing them on TV so I was so excited that they had pony rides.  She was bit timid at first but warmed up to her pony very quickly.  We learned his name was Buddy and now every horse she sees is "Buddy".  She could have hung out with him all day.

Starting off a bit nervous...

30 seconds later she loved it!

Not I just need to convince Eric into buying her a pony for Christmas. :)

August 2014

This sweet girl just keeps growing and gets funnier everyday!  I love the conversations we have.

Elle was oddly quiet one night on our way home.  When I went to get her out of the car she said, "Mommy, wook!"  It's hard to tell in the picture but she had found some stickers and covered her legs in them.  Don't mind the stroller next to her, that was a huge deal that her baby's stroller HAD to come with us.

Elle's new thing when she is told "no" to something or caught doing something she's not supposed to is to start whining, grab her legs and say she's "itchy".  I guess at some point when she was being told "no" to something she told me she was itchy and I immediately checked her for a bug bite and probably forgot all about telling her "no no" to whatever she was doing.  Now it's her go-to move when in trouble...because Eric and I are such hard core disciplinarians.  We are wrapped around her finger. ;)

Elle is on a big Monsters University kick every night she requests to watch "Monsters" and her favorite is Sully the "big monster".  I've actually stopped planning her Frozen birthday party (I know I'm the only crazy lady who starts planning these things 6 months in advance) because who knows what her new obsession will be by then.

One Saturday night Mary and I took the babies to Playtime Party Center, a neat place with tunnels/arcade game/bounce houses.  Their mascot is Henry the Hippo and when he walked out I was sure Elle would be terrified.  To my complete surprise she walked right up to him and gave him a five and then chased him for a hug.  I was shocked!  Elle had fun hanging out in the tunnels with Henry and MiMi...

and Charlie Bear and I had fun watching them.

Here she is cheering on Coach Unc at his football game.  It took some serious convincing to get her to go.  After the Santa Claus fiasco at the Rascals game she is now convinced Santa goes to all Unc's games.

Elle has started to love building castles with her blocks.  She asked me to take a picture of her creation, she was so proud of it!  Maybe a future architect?

Picnic in bed one night!

This little girl is so funny if there is something she doesn't like (TV show, juice, food, anything) she scrunches up her nose, waves her little hand and says "not this".  It's the cutest thing ever!  She also went through a faze of wanting to wear her sunglasses at night when she would watch a TV show.  One night she saw Mary take out her contacts and put on her glasses so Elle thought she should do the same.

We tried out a recipe I found online for homemade Popsicles, Elle was a big fan.

She packed up her purse one day and told me she was going to MiMi's house :)

Cheers!  Elle loves this, she asks to "cheers!" when we are eating, playing, anything!  These two also love suckers and ask for them anytime they are at MawMaw & PawPaw's house.

Our niece Harper turned one this month so we took Elle shopping for her bday gift one night.  Elle wasn't so great about shopping for someone else, she kept insisting it was her birthday party the next day.  She did great at the actual party though but to be safe I kept her a good distance away from the presents. :)

One weekend at the mall the kiddos rode the Merry Go Round....

and then I wanted to take Elle to the American Girl store to see what she thought.  She loved it and desperately wanted to take one home...

so our shopping trip ended like this. :(

She will ask sometimes to have her picture taken with Vito & Hermann.  She really loves them!

We were driving and she asked to hold my hand.  Anything for my Roni!

And that's a look at our August.  Next comes the most wonderful time of the year, FALL!
