Mother's Day 2015

For Mother's Day this year we decided to do brunch at Mary's house.  It's always a circus with all the kiddos at a restaurant and the wait on Mother's Day can be insane so staying in was the perfect idea for this crazy crew.

Eric had to work which mean he couldn't make it to celebrate on Sunday so we went out for breakfast Saturday at Cappuccinos and they spoiled me with presents (new Alex & Ani bracelet and West Elm light).

Mom, Dad, Will and Paige had a wedding the night before, some heavy drinking meant only mom made it to our Mother's Day celebration (Paige went to meet her own mom for the day).  Dad made up for this with the frames he made us from Grandma's house and taking us all out to brunch the following week. :)

Poor Nick was the only guy at the actual Mother's Day brunch so he waited on Mary, Mom and I with drinks and set up a canopy for us outside with fans to watch the babies play.  It was such a pretty day out!

In order to keep Bear's attention long enough for the picture he needed to hold the cupcakes. I love that he is pointing to one and most likely saying "dis", letting us all know which one he wants.  That boy looooves cupcakes!

This little lady deserves a celebration everyday.  She truly is the greatest!! Such a wonderful example of the kind of mom I strive to be to Elle and Ollie. And in the MawMaw department she's off the charts.  Our babies have no idea how lucky they are...yet, one day they will!

You have to keep an extra close eye on Beary when Oliver is in his carseat!

I have no idea what I did to deserve these two and this amazing life.  I love being their mom more than anything in the world.  Blessed beyond measure!!!

April - 2015

Birthday months are always fun so I look forward to April every year.  This year however, I honestly forgot my birthday was around the corner until it was basically the week of.  I had these two keeping me busy...

Maternity leaves are the best things ever.  I was able to take 12 weeks and enjoyed every day home with my babes!

I took Elle to see the movie "Home" one night.  She loved it!  She does really good in the theatre, she knows you have to be quiet and girlfriend loves some movie snacks!  Ever since the movie she has quoted the line "my hands are in the air like i just do not care!".  She picked out a neklace from my closet to fancy up her outfit.

My dad created this amazing little playhouse for Eleanor.  We are both in love with it!!

We spent one day picking out flowers for her flower boxes then planting them when we got home.

Ollie fell asleep on the job.

Movie night in bed with popcorn!

Elle loves chapstick.  She got a little set of 4 Frozen chapsticks in her Easter Basket from MawMaw & PawPaw.  They came in this little tin holder, kinda like a mini lunchbox.  Elle LOVES them!  Anytime I'm doing my makeup she's right there with her Frozen chapsticks.  She loves applying the different colors and flavors and is great about sharing...just be careful she sometimes forgets chapstick only goes on your lips so you could end up with some in your eye. :)

"Mommy, my lips probably red.  Gotta get my chapstick make them feel better"

I love stumbling upon her toys set-up like this.

My little Ollie is getting so big!!

One night I had just finished making dinner and Elle and I sat down to eat (Eric was at work).  The second I sat down the tornado sirens went off.  Getting everyone down into the basement was a complete circus.  Elle and Ollie went down first (obviously), then I ran back up for the dogs (because of Hermann's back he has to be carried down the steps), then I ran back up for Elle's dinner, then I ran back up for the iPad.  This is a picture of Elle eating her dinner in the basement once we were all finally downstairs and settled in.  One thing I absolutely hate about the Spring is the tornadoes!

This little belly is the cutest!!

Grocery shopping with mom.  Schnucks now has mini grocery carts which is dangerous, it's the only way she wants to grocery shop now.  She is like my mini-me in the store.  Anything I do, look at, pickup...she is my shadow!  She would look at the food on the shelves and quietly say "what do we need, what do we need", which I realize is something I do while shopping.

After our grocery store run I treated her to a strawberry milkshake. This little lady was in heaven! She kept saying "this is delicious!"

A BBQ at the Voss house.

My little artist...

This big boy started sleeping in his crib. :( He loves it, I don't.

Elle was watching Peppa Pig and passed out!

My sleepy babies...

Oliver's face he makes when he is about to cry. :(

Poor doodle went from big smiles to screaming.

Anytime the Voss boys come to visit things get a little crazy, :)

Elle has a glove we keep in the kitchen for popsicle eating, she is a diva!

Ollie started crying one night while we were eating dinner.  Elle said, "Hold on Ollie.  Almost done eating and I'll come get you."  She is such a good big sister!

"Mommy, you ready to go night night?  Getting pretty late."

The three amigos.

I kiss these toes every single day!

Dressed up as mommy.

"Mommy you made a really cute dinner"

Waiting for DJ PawPaw to play a song they can dance to.  Current favorites are "Who Let The Dogs Out", "What Does the Fox Say", "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" (Elle) and "Uptown Funk" (Henry)

Oliver had his 2 month shots on my 31st birthday.

My poor babe had a bad reaction to the shots and his little legs were bright red all night and he was so fussy.  Here he has a wet cloth on his head and is being snuggled by MiMi.

Eric and I saw I Love Lucy at the Peabody...looooved it!!

A few more pics of my babes, as if this post was lacking pictures. :)
