Sick baby girl = No bueno!

A few weeks ago we had a sick little girl on our hands.  It was Elle's first cold (we thought she had one around 3 weeks old but now we are wondering if we were overreacting :).  I woke up Wednesday morning to lots a sniffles and coughs.  I took the day off work to nurse that little girl back to good health.  Elle slept on me alllllll day, I LOVED it!

By Thursday she still hadn't kicked her little cold so Eric got to enjoy a day at home with her.  By Thursday night she was feeling much better.

We hated seeing our little Elle Belle sick but I know we both really enjoyed having a day at home with her.

29th Birthday!

A few weekends ago we celebrated my 29th birthday, it was filled with some of my favorite activities...baby girl cuddles, shopping and time with my family.

Friday night after we picked up Elle we headed out for some shopping and dinner.  Eric and I were on the hunt for something to somewhat coordinate with the pink overload I had planned for Elle's 4 month pictures the following day.  Not so sure that I was successful but I bought several options. :)

Saturday we had Elle's pictures in the afternoon.  She was a really good girl and only started to get fussy towards the end...hungry girl = no more pictures!  I am so happy with how they turned out and I can't wait to see all the pictures from that day.
After pictures it was off to Mary & Nick's for some birthday celebrating.  There is nothing I love more than a fun night with my family.  They always go above and beyond...I am so lucky to have them!

B-day gifts from Elle

Sunday, my actual birthday, was spent out and about with Eric and Elle.  Eric was so amazing all day taking me shopping (and acting super interested in everything I was looking at :) & out to lunch.  I have such an amazing husband and I'm so lucky he's mine. :)  We ended the day by buying some new lights for our kitchen (my idea of a good time..I'm old...and boring!).  All in all it was a great weekend, one of my favorite birthdays I've had so far.  The fact that it was my first with Elle doesn't hurt. ;)

Elle - 4 Months

Elle Belle turned 4 months last week, where has the time gone?

4 Month highlights:
- Tried Rice Cereal for the first time, not a huge fan :)
- Loves looking in the mirror
- Chews on her hands
- Lots of "talking", she has a lot to tell us!
- Doesn't love her car seat, she prefers to hold our hand while we drive (not spoiled at all :)
- Loves sitting in her Jeep walker, she holds on to the steering wheel and honks the horn
- Loves having a blanket or bib to pull over her face (I hate this so I'm constantly taking them away from her!)
- Grabbing everything...toys, the dogs, books, etc.
- sleeps 9 hours (will wake up occasionally for her binkie)
- Loves standing up
- Likes being held...and this Mama is happy to do that :)
- Starting to get scared when someone she doesn't know very well holds her (or Mommy, Daddy, Grammy or PawPaw are out of her eyesight.)
- Aunt MiMi and Uncle Nick babysat for the first time

We are so so so SO lucky that Elle spends her weekdays at Grammy & Paw Paw's.  I know she is having fun with them & Henry and I never worry about her while I'm at work.  I know she is in the best of hands. I'm always wondering if the babes are having a good day or bad day...and Grammy covers for them saying everyday they are angels.  Somehow I don't believe her.  haha

It's hard to believe that 4 months ago I was in the hospital waiting to meet this sweet girl.  I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined how much I would love her and how happy she would make my life.  She is the biggest blessing I have ever received and I am so thankful I get to be her Mommy.

Happy Easter

We had a really great Easter this year, it was so fun celebrating Eleanor's first Easter & our first time playing Easter Bunny.

Friday night we took Henry & Elle to see the Easter Bunny.  Henry was such a big boy, when it was their turn he sat right next to the bunny...no fear whatsoever.

After pictures Mary, Nick, Eric and I went to dinner with the babes.  It ended up being a really fun Friday night.

Sunday morning we woke up to Eleanor's goodies that the Easter Bunny left behind for her. :)

We went to Church and then off to Eric's parents house for our first Easter celebration of the day.  Eric's parents were in Louisville the weekend before and had bought Elle a miniature bat with her name engraved and a duck dynasty onesie (Eric is a fan of the show).

After lunch at the Hylton's we headed to my mom and dad's for dinner.  My parents had eggs throughout the living room and on their deck for Henry to hunt.  The little babe decided to keep his shades on for the Egg Hunt. :)

After dinner the babes opened their Easter baskets from Grammy & PawPaw...they spoil these babies!!

Eventually, both of the babes crashed.

Overall we had such a fun day!! The only thing missing was Will & Paige.

Crazy Cousin Henry

Eleanor is so lucky to have her cousin Henry, he is such a silly little boy and keeps her smiling...actually he keeps ALL of us smiling, he is the entertainer in the family.  Elle loves to watch him run around the room, which he is doing constantly!

Henry loves to look at Elle in her carseat, he leans over with his little face right in front of hers and tells her "hi!".  It might be the cutest thing I have ever seen!!

Henry loves to give Elle kisses, he smacks his lips a couple times before he leans in for the big smooch.  He also loves taking her socks off for some reason.  He will be running around playing and walk up to Elle, take her socks off and then go right back to playing.

Testing out Elle's toy

He has been such a sweet boy with her, it's amazing how he knows she's a little baby and he needs to be very gentle.
Trying on Elle's bib

Henry is the sweetest little boy, we love him to pieces!!! I know Eric is already counting on big cousin Henry to look after Eleanor as they get older.
