Paddy's Baptism/E.R. Visit

Sweet little Patrick was Baptized one Sunday. He was so cute in church...

Then we headed to Will & Paige's house for lunch.

I was sitting upstairs in the living room, Patrick had just finished opening his presents when I heard crying coming from downstairs.

I opened up the door to the basement and saw Eric walking up with a crying Ollie who had a pretty busted up nose. He had been playing in the playroom and from what we can put together from the other kids he was in a wagon, got a push and fell forward face first into the corner of a shelf.

After about 10 minutes of trying to get him to calm down, putting ice on it, having Will examine his nose I decided it was time to head to the hospital to have it looked at.

Here we are in the waiting room waiting to be seen. Ollie had calmed down at this point...

and Elle was basically big sister of the decade. She sat and drew him pictures of his favorite Toy Story characters then went with Eric to the cafeteria to get Ollie some snacks.

This girl has too much experience waiting in E.R.'s for Ollie possibly breaking a bone (this was our 3rd time).

This boy was an angel. Truly.
He watched a movie on Eric's phone and completely cooperated when the doctor came in.

When the doctor first walked in the room he looked at Oliver and did a quick look at his nose and said "it's broken". I started SOBBING. The doctor looked at me so confused and just said, "no. don't cry."

Try and stop me. It's impossible.

Soon we were headed for xrays. Ollie chatted with the guy wheeling us down the entire time. When the nurse asked Ollie how this happened to his nose Ollie just said, "Charlie did it" which the nurse thought was pretty funny.

During the xrays he did awesome and asked so many questions.
"Why is the machine so big? Who made it?"

After xrays the doctor came in and told us the cartilage around his nose was broken but the actual bone did not break. #hallelujah

We ended up at Stefanina's after the hospital to get our boy some toasted ravioli. My mom and dad met us there (with gifts for Ollie)...and somehow after everything he went through his day got worse. He fell out of his chair and spilled super hot marinara sauce all over his hands, face and chest. It was just the worst day for my Ollie.

Here are some pictures of how his eye & nose looked for the next couple of weeks.

We had a follow-up appointment with his pediatrician and after making sure he could move air through both nostrils for 2 weeks he was cleared and no ENT appointment was necessary.

Can we just take it easy for a little while, Ols?

April

Here is a look at our April...

We love April Fools Day at our house, we all play tricks on each other all day.

Elle laid clothes all over Eric while he was sleeping, I packed her raisins for a snack but filled the box with M&M's instead (my trick was a nice one). When I picked Elle up from school she kept saying I do so much for everyone else and I deserve a break. She kept telling me when we get home you should lay down in bed and I will give you a head massage. I kept thinking, this is the sweetest little girl EVER! Well, her plan was to get me in my room so she could play this trick on me. She dumped an entire (brand new) box of Goldfish in my purse.

Eric came home from work that night with Happy Meals for the kids...he had gone so far as to stop and just get happy meals boxes from McDonalds. No food inside. We love April Fools!

I got to spend some time with this sweet Paddy Boy one day!

Elle has loved her first year in Girl Scouts.
Here they are about to pass out bags (in my parents subdivision) for donations.

We found these bug kits at the Dollar Store one day and the kids were huge fans!

Lovey's still going strong!

Elle was so sweet and packed my lunch for me one day.

Ollie was loving his new Buzz Lightyear game he got from Chris for his bday.

First official softball practice for this girl!

Practice #2 ended in a DOWNPOUR and all the little siblings crowded under this umbrella.

Ollie and I took Elle lunch and ended up staying for recess.

Time for her first softball game!! Such a fun morning.

One day I drew a whole little city for these two to color. We left it here for days while they finished it.

Black eye from his nose injury and some long curls before we headed for a haircut...

which in my opinion was too short...I was close to tears over those curls being gone.

Another Girl Scout event, all those cookie sales earned them some fun rewards!

Ollie drew a picture of him and daddy.

On a day Elle was in school Ollie and I headed out to explore a new park.

3 Muskateers.

We loved the new park so much we brought Elle with us on a Monday she had off school.

Cost per wear on these jammies has to be insane.

The kids went through a huge Muppets Most Wanted stage. It's still some of their favorite music to listen to in the car.

They met their new cousin Scottie.

Eric and I attended our first school dinner auction.

Elle really loved softball this year and watching her was a favorite for me!!

After her game we went out to celebrate my 35th birthday.

Then to my parents to keep celebrating.

Dress down day at school.

We went to Target and all the new Toy Story 4 stuff had hit the shelves...Ollie was in heaven!!!

More Girl Scout fun, this time planting flowers at school.
Sidenote, look at all those JoJo bows!

This was the night the girls also got their rewards from cookie sales.

One happy little Daisy all ready for bed. :)

Grandparents Day

This past Spring Elle had Grandparents Day at her school, she was SO EXCITED to have her MawMaw & PawPaw come to her classroom.

It was a short day at school and afterwards she was treated to lunch at one of her favorite places...Bread Co.

She is SO LUCKY to have these two. She had the best day!
Next year, MawMaw & PawPaw will be hitting up 2 classrooms!
