Spring Break

We usually don't go on any sort of vacation during Spring Break but I was determined to sneak in some fun days during Elle's week off school.

We started with some fun at the park...

then headed to her favorite ice cream place to have ice cream for dinner one night.

This is Ollie's preferred spot every time we are in Target.

We met friends one morning at The Magic House for a full day of fun!

Elle loved the Science Lab.

And they both loved painting.

We hadn't been to The Magic House since Ollie was a baby so it was a really fun day exploring every single exhibit...I think we hit them all.

After a fun day we had a late picnic lunch outside and them headed home.

This was the week the Toy Story 4 trailer dropped and Ollie watched it on repeat with a smile on his face!

We headed to the Zoo one day with Eric.

The bird cage is always one of Elle's favorite stops.

And Ollie brushed this goat for a sweet forever...and then I doused him in hand sanitizer.

And Elle got a little too close for my liking to this goose.

We had dinner and smore's at Jen & Cory's one night.

And we ended the week of fun with a birthday party at the St. Louis Carousel House.

March

Here is a little bit of our March...

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day a little early at Mom and Dad's with corned beef and cabbage.

All ready for Spring pictures at school.

My Kindergarten girl all ready for school one morning.

Stylin' in her sunnies.

The night before St. Patrick's Day we worked on our leprechaun trap. Elle was so determined to trap one this year!

We woke up the next morning to discover our leprechaun had found a way out of our trap but he did leave green candy and blocks of gold for Elle and Ollie!

While they worked on their gold I made them a festive breakfast.

Park days in March after a cold winter are our favorite!

We got to watch Paddy one day and loved having this sweet boy with us!

I woke up to this note on my closet door one morning courtesy of my sweet girl!

Ollie is 4!!!

Ollie had been waiting months to turn 4! He would actually get angry when we would refer to him as 3 and say, "No! I 4!!"

The weekend before his birthday he had a birthday slumber party at Mary's to celebrate his and Charlie's birthday. He was so excited because MiMi's house is his most favorite place!

Two birthday boys ready to get the party started.

My sweet little baby!

Buzz Lightyear is always a huge hit with Ollie!

For weeks leading up to his party he would ask to look at pictures of Toy Story cakes on my phone. The common theme I noticed was that he loved the ones with any type of figurines on top so this is what we ended up with.

Paddy got to try out some cake!

This is February 19th, the night before his birthday and my last night with a 3 year old.

The next morning my birthday baby woke up to balloons and presents!

Elle had to go to school so it was just me, Ollie and Eric for the day.
He really wanted to wear his Great Wolf Lodge ears for the day.

Mary and the boys had a snow day so we stopped by their house to play for a little bit...

then met Eric for lunch at Stefanina's so we could get the birthday boy some toasted ravioli.

After we picked up Elle from school we took the birthday boy to the theater to see Lego Movie 2.
2 Russells with their eyes closed.

After the movie we asked Ollie where he wanted to go to dinner, being the homebody that he is he wanted to get a Happy Meal and take it home to eat it. :)

After he ate he got to open the rest of his presents!

Elle is so good about being excited for him when the spotlight is on him.

4 year old Ollie is pretty much the best thing ever.

It took several tries blowing out all his candles...

and on the last try he got a little too close to his eye.

Eric got all his new toys put together and Ollie treated us to a concert.

I love this sweet boy more than words. He will forever be the best surprise of my life, I had no idea how much I needed him. He is a laid back, easy going, funny little boy who loves singing along to The Beatles and The Beach Boys. He loves Toy Story with his whole heart. His daddy is his best friend and he owns this mama's heart.  Love you to the sky, to the sky my Russell!!
