August rolled around and it was time for Elle to head back to school, this time for a full day instead of a half day. I was nervous how she would handle it, the end of last year was tough getting her excited to go each day...but this little lady was amazing and handled back to school like a champ!
It's easy to get excited when your school open house has a sno-cone truck!
After open house we were walking back to the car...this is the path she walked last year when we would pick her up after her half day of school. Watching Ollie behind her and knowing he would be in school next year walking this path was almost too much for me to handle. :)
First day of school!
Sissy is ready...Ollie not so much.
My beautiful girl!!!
She was very vocal that she really wanted to wear a skirt the first day of school. She had seen a back to school commercial with a girl wearing a skirt and it was the look she was going for. So, we had a shopping trip to pick some out and she looked and felt fabulous on her first day!
A 1st day of school photo shoot obviously needs a "spooky face" picture. #duh
Getting ready to walk her in!
Family picture before we go.
She did have a hard time saying goodbye to us this year.
A friend of mine dropped her daughter off as we were leaving and she said the second we left Elle cheered up which made me feel so much better!
Her first day was only a 1/2 day (thank goodness!) and this little man was ready to pick up Sissy and take her out to lunch!
My girl!
Elle has done so great so far this year! She loves staying for lunch and recess with her friends. She takes ballet class and loves telling me about the songs they learn in music class. Her letter recognition and writing is really improving...she just seems to be learning so much!
She is such a special little girl and I can't wait to see the amazing things she does this year!!
