Dinner Conversation

Last night at dinner I was chatting with Elle and Oliver about their day. It was just the three of us, Eric was working.

Elle started asking if Unc was a picky eater when he was little and asked what was something he didn't like to eat (Sidenote: she constantly asks questions about what Will was like when he was little!). I told her Unc has never liked tomatoes but that I love them! I do love them and they were on our plates so I wanted to really hit home how good they are. :)

I mentioned that we should make a garden and plant tomatoes so we can grow our own.

Elle said, "I'm not really in the mood for tomatoes.  I have a great idea! Let's grow salami in our garden!"

:)
Conversations with a 4 year old are so much fun, I just love it!

Party Weekend

The weekend of Oliver's birthday party was a busy one!

We started Friday night by having Unc and Aunt Paige over to play. Will had to work during Ollie's party Saturday morning so they brought his present Friday night and played with the kids while I prepped for the party. Eric was working so this was a HUGE help...and Ollie had the best time ever with Uncy.

On Saturday we had Oliver's birthday party then right after we headed to Alex and Autumn's gender reveal party where we found out we will be getting another nephew!

Sunday morning we were up and out the door for Charlie's 3rd birthday party at KoKoMo Joe's!!

The kids jumped in the bounce houses...

and when I say "kids" I'm including Will. :)

Next we did go karts.

#speeddemons

Then cake and presents!

Dude got bored. ;)

And we ended the party in the arcade.

We left Charlie's party completely exhausted. This little dude barely made it out of the parking lot before his eyes starting getting heavy.

We rested up Sunday night because the next day was Ollie boy's 2nd birthday and we had one more day of celebrating!!

Life Lately

This winter has been so mild, we have spent so many days outside or at the park!

One Tuesday we dropped Elle off at school then Ollie and I headed out for breakfast just the two of us.

After breakfast and shopping we headed to pick up Sissy at school.  He was over his carseat so he came to the front seat.

And when he started wrecking havoc up front we headed outside. :)

We had an hour to kill before Elle's hair appointment so we headed to the park for a picnic...

then to the Hairy Elephant for Elle to get her haircut.  They did the cutest braids after they cut her hair...when I try to braid her hair it looks nothing like this.  I need some serious practice!

Elle still wants to cuddle me for her afternoon nap. :)

There were some superhero's running around our house one night.

Super Sassy!

A day home with daddy while I was at work.
The clothes and hair are all indicators it was a daddy day!

I flipped the table around one morning so they could watch Saturday morning cartoons while eating breakfast.  They loved it!

One Saturday I took Elle shopping to pick out a gift for Oliver's birthday.
Girlfriend got a tad sidetracked. ;)

As we were finishing up shopping she informed me she was getting crabby because she really needed to stop and eat lunch so we stopped in Bread Co. and had a fun little ladies lunch.

All was well until she started to get upset when asking me why she wasn't invited to my wedding.
For real, she was getting annoyed.
haha!

When you get out of your car for a second and your brother slides to the driver side and takes off.

Little Moana wanted a marker behind her ear like PawPaw.

A teaparty with Belle!

On Valentine's Day I picked her up from school and we came home and started going through her Valentines.  Eric and Oliver ran some errands and came home with a flower and balloon for Miss Elle Belle.

My Valentines day cuddle bugs!

Wearing her new nightgown and matching pj's for Ashlyn. This was her Valentine's gift from us.
Ollie got a little Buzz Lightyear on a skateboard. :)

Side note: Eric scheduled a water consultation for 5pm on Valentine's Day thinking it would be 15 minutes then we could go out to dinner. Well, it was a full on sales pitch that lasted over 2 hours. I ended up leaving the room and hanging out in the bedroom with the kids and Eric lasted the entire 2 hours without cutting the lady off. He is so patient! The kids were starving by the time she left so Eric ran and got Elle's favorite food ever (Buffalo Wild Wings) to cheer up his valentine.  We ate at home, watched Storks and it was the perfect night.

Taking Ollie to his 2 year checkup with her backpack and baby in tow.

Girlfriend is always hungry about 30 minutes after dinner.  She has a night time snack almost every night.

Ollie and his "guys"

These two love Vito. Vito kind of doesn't want anything to do with them though.
Poor Hermann, he would love the attention!

Sunday dinner at Unc and Aunt Paige's house was the highlight of Elle's week. She later told me Unc's house is her most favorite house.

Ollie trying to take ever Toy Story character to dinner with us.

And Missy May just loving life at Texas Roadhouse...another favorite restaurant of hers.  She just loves the peanuts and the fact that you can throw the shells on the ground.

Saturday morning walk.

Her first dance class....SO adorable!!!

After her dance class we met one of my high school friends and her girls for a play-date. Elle had so much fun and I even heard her telling Claire about the peanuts at Texas Roadhouse. :)

Ollie stayed home with Eric and he was passed out by the time we got home.

Tuesday afternoon at the park!

They looked so cute on this swing!

Elle and Ollie's 1st dentist appointment.
There were moments that were terrible but overall they did great!

Our goal for our visit in August is for Elle to let them do pictures and Ollie to lay down for a teeth cleaning. I loved that they didn't push them on their first visit. They wanted it to be a positive visit.

These two LOVE a picnic dinner!

This little boy is ready for bed and ready to put his toes in a shirt. :)

That's life lately.
This nice weather has spoiled us and now we are expecting snow this weekend and I am DREADING it but I know 2 little kids who are going to be so excited to play in it!
