PreK 3

Sissy is officially in preschool! We are on week 2 right now and so far, so good!

The week before she started I had a parent orientation, Eric had to work so I went by myself and a few tears definitely fell when I was writing her this note that her teacher was planning to read to her on her first day of school.

After that meeting I was given an assignment for us to complete before her 1st day.  Decorate her binder!  This type of stuff is totally up my alley.

Elle wanted to use lots of unicorn stickers!

Finished product!

How cute is this girl?!

So fast forward to the Sunday after Will's wedding, we raced back home for Elle's open house.  She was able to drop off her school supplies and check out her classroom.

She LOVED this cash register! To the point that Eric and I were worried she would be super disappointed if she didn't get a chance to play with it on her first day.  So far, she has been waiting patiently for the day it comes out at school.

Ollie boy loved exploring Sissy's classroom too!

After we spent some time in her classroom I wanted her to go to the bathroom so she could check that out. I walked her through not locking the door, only turn the blue knob to wash your hands not the red.  Then she practiced using the water fountain.  The things my mind thinks of.  But I know my girl and she needs to be prepared and talk through things to feel confident and comfortable. So we walked through everything.

Next the kids ran wild outside while I waited in line at the food trucks the school brought in for lunch.

The next day while Elle was napping she had a balloon bouquet delivered to our door.  It was from the Voss family wishing her luck on her 1st day of school!  She was so excited!!

I wanted to start a tradition where the kids get to pick whatever breakfast they want for the first day of school.  These were Elle's picks.

Pink donuts (Eric was up and out the door at 6:30 for Elle's pink donut), Fruit Loops (she tried these for the 1st time at the hotel for Will's wedding and fell in love) and Orange Juice.

PreK 3 here we come!!!

See that little key chain? She picked it out and I told her anytime she misses me or feels sad to just squeeze it because I loaded it with hugs from me.

At the end of her first day she told me she squeezed her key chain. :)

Walking her to her room was a whirlwind.  I knew we shouldn't stay long, everything I had read said make this part super fast.  I was fighting a huge lump in my throat and fighting back tears.  We found her desk, she started coloring, took a quick pic of the 3 of us and gave her a huge hug and kiss and she just waved, smiled and said "bye!".

My big girl!!

As soon as I walked out of her classroom I cried like a baby.  I just can't believe how fast 3 years has flown by.

Eric and I went to the boohoo mass and social in the cafeteria for parents after, then to my parents to get Ollie and soon it was time to pick up our girl!

Her teacher texted me this pic of her. :)

I was so  happy to pick this sweet girl up!

We took her out for lunch (she picked Buffalo Wild Wings) and I tried to get as much info as I could out of her about her day.

We all survived and I think this will be a great year!

Will & Paige's Wedding

We had the BEST TIME at Will & Paige's wedding weekend! I am so sad that it is over and behind us.

We kicked off the fun with a drive to Kansas City on Thursday to meet our good friends Jeff & Steph for dinner.  This was our first time meeting their baby girl, I couldn't give her enough kisses!

Headed to KC!

Taylor was eyeing Elle's pizza. :)

After dinner we drive to Lees Summit and checked into our hotel. The long naps in the car meant these two were wiiiiide awake.

Elle doing some light reading before hitting the pool with daddy for a late night swim.

Ollie stayed in the room with me to go to bed.  He loved this mirror.  He would look at himself and just laugh.

One of Elle's favorite parts of hotel life was going downstairs for breakfast. She actually told me she doesn't like our house anymore because it's too "normal" and that she wants to live in the hotel. :)

Baby boy could barely see over the table to reach his Fruit Loops.

Friday morning after breakfast we hit the pool! Neither of my kids are very adventurous swimmers yet so it was a lot of holding them in the water.

After the pool and showers I got a text from my Aunt Colleen that they had arrived!!
I was so excited to go to their room and see them!

Elle and Ollie were of course very shy at first but I was so surprised at how quickly Elle opened up to them. Granted, they are the best and Elle had heard me rave about them.  I love that she had a chance to hang out and fall in love with them too.

Eric and I took our 2 for lunch (Ollie fell asleep in Culvers after eating 1 french fry) and then walked back to the room so Elle and Eric could join Ollie for his nap.

I heard a rumor that the Voss boys were running wild at the pool so I had to go see my boys!
They were having SO MUCH FUN swimming with Uncle Bill...or Unc Bill as Charlie called him.

Ollie giving himself more kisses in the mirror.

I took Elle to my Aunt Colleen's room so she could french braid her hair for the wedding rehearsal.
I feel like this was a full circle moment...I remember sitting in hotel rooms having her braid my hair and here I was watching her with my daughter. :)

Ollie and Unc at the church.  The crowd was overwhelming to Ollie boy.

Ring-bearer and flower girl!

The dinner my parents hosted after was so amazing!! 4 courses of super yummy food!

My kids LOVE Italian food so the meatballs and toasted ravioli cocktail appetizers were a huge hit with them. Not to mention there dinner of spaghetti and pizza.  They were in heaven!

Late night swim #2 for this girl! Can you tell she's excited?
I don't think she was in bed before midnight for 3 days straight.
#yikes

Playing catch with Aunt Mary in the pool was the highlight of her weekend.  She is still talking about it!

Showered and ready for bed in her new Peppa Pig jammies from Aunt Mary and Aunt Colleen!

The wedding day!!
In Paige's suite waiting to get our hair done.

MiMi was Elle's bestie on this morning.
Trying to catch Fruit Loops in their mouths.

Sissy's pretty updo!

These two looked so handsome!

Dress in one hand, Jimmy John's in the other. :)

This face!!

If you've never seen this face consider yourself lucky! She is not happy about something!

How pretty does Mama Rita look?!

My girl. :)

Too cute for his own good!!
My dad had to carry him down the aisle, leaving all 4 kids in the back with him while Mary and I walked down the aisle was...chaotic.  Poor dad!

Dare I say the cutest flower girl I've ever seen?!

Party bus time!

Oliver ADORES Henry!

After Will and Paige cut the cake he brought a bite over for Elle.
He is the best Unc to these babies!!

One of my favorite pics!

Such a fun weekend! So happy for Will and Paige and so grateful that she is apart of our family forever.
