Spooky Saturday

I love autumn...I love the weather, the clothes, the colors.  It is by far my favorite time of year.  As if I couldn't love it enough, now that I have a little babe of my own I love it even more.  It seems during the Fall their is an abundance of fun activities to do every weekend.

One Saturday Mary and I decided to take the babes out for some fun.  Our fist stop was The Meadows, they were having trick-or-treating at their stores and a firetruck (which we knew would be a big hit with Henry!)

Our next stop was the Zoo!  During the day they were having a "Spooky Saturday" event with costume characters, face painting, etc.  We got there a little later than we planned but still had a fun day.  Our first stop was meeting some of the costume characters.  I feel like this pic is a perfect description of our time in this area...chaos!  It was crowded so you had to do a little elbowing to make it to the front and as soon as we did Eleanor started crying, which then prompted Henry to start crying.  They were no fans of this bear!

I was able to take Elle to see this zebra completely tear-free.  When we asked Henry is he wanted to go see the zebra he would just say "Eleanor, Eleanor", send the baby to the weird scary animal! haha

Next we rode the train throughout the entire zoo.  I love riding the train and it usually rocks Elle to sleep...bonus!

Pumpkin Patch

In October we took a trip to the pumpkin patch.  Will & Paige were in town for the weekend so they joined Mary, my mom, Henry, Elle & I for the trip.  The rest of the guys were consumed with some football mumbo jumbo.

The babes took a ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkins, rode the train and played in the play area.  It was a small little pumpkin patch so they could do pretty much anything with no wait.

Since Elle enjoyed the pumpkin patch so much I figured she would also love carving the pumpkin.  I was wrong!  As soon as I placed her little hand to feel the gooeyness of the inside of the pumpkin she freaked out...and was then scared of the pumpkin the rest of the night.  She screamed when I tried to get a picture of her on the porch with the pumpkins all lit up, this was the only non-crying picture I got. :)  Great way to kick off the Halloween season!

Elle's 1st Cardinals game!

Late this summer we took Elle to her first Cardinals game, it was actually the one and only game I went to all year.  I had 4 tickets from work so Eric, Elle, my parents and I got to enjoy the game from one of our clients suites.

Elle slept on me for a majority of the game.  I was surprised the crowd and homerun fireworks didn't wake her, just proved this girl can sleep through anything!

Around the 7th inning Eric and I took Elle to the Build-A-Bear inside the stadium.  I had been looking forward to doing this before we ever had kids.  :)  Elle picked out a Fredbird to make and Eric had to reel me back from adding $100 in bear extras...I'm a sucker for that type of stuff. :)

I honestly can't tell you if we won the game or who we even played (if Eric and my dad are reading this I can imagine the eye roll that is happening right now :) Those are just measly little details, we all know Eleanor and Fred are the real stars of this story. :)

10 months

Eleanor's 10th month!

Getting this girl to keep a bow in her hair has turned into quite the challenge!  It's a small miracle if it lasts more than 5 minutes.

10 month highlights:
- Elle is walking behind toys (cars and her baby doll stroller)
- Points to her belly when you ask her where it is
- Very talkative, repeats words we say.  In the car one day she repeated "I Love you!" :) :)
- Loves to point things at
- Eating table foods almost exclusively
- Loves to give kisses, which is the most amazing thing ever!
- Loves her Fred Bird "Build a Bear" that we made at Busch stadium
- Has been taking baths in the kitchen sink, she loves to splash water everywhere

Family Vacation Part 2 - Saugatuck, MI

Friday afternoon once we left Chicago, we headed to Michigan to meet up with the rest of the family...after Eric made a very important stop at Three Floyds Brewing Co. for some of his favorite beer. :)

Friday night we all went out to dinner together and then just came back and relaxed at the cabin.  Between the guys playing beer pong, dad upstairs in the kitchen cooking and Henry yelling "PawPaw" as loud as he could to get him to come downstairs it was probably my favorite night in Michigan.

We spent the rest of our time there shopping in town, blowing bubbles on the deck with Henry (the boy was obsessed), watching and waving at the boats, going on a steamboat ride, the guys went on a day fishing trip, applying sunscreen to Eleanor every 15 minutes and just laughing and having fun together.  I loved the town, it was a perfect little beach town with waterfront restaurants and cute little shops, the perfect vacation spot.

Elle wanted to hold Henry's hand in this pic, but Hen just wasn't in the mood!

Such a fun trip and I can't believe how much the babies have grown since we were there!
