Summertime

We have had a fun summer so far.  Last year we spent more time inside since Ollie was so little but this year we are out and about! And this is just the way Elle likes things. :)

Baths in the sink are one of Elle's favorite things.  The kitchen always ends up covered in water but I cave and let her take one in the kitchen every so often.  This night Ollie was NOT feeling a bath in the sink...at all. So Sissy got both sides to herself.

This boy. I don't think he could possibly be any cuter!!!
He is starting to shake his head "yes" or "no" to answer questions. He still doesn't say a lot of words (mama, dadda, hi, bye, go, no, yes - are his main ones) but he does listen and understand what we are saying.

He loves jumping in his crib until he thinks you are going to leave the room.  Then...not so fun!

Eric and I took Elle to see The Secret Life of Pets one Sunday.  I swear her favorite part is never the movie and always the cotton candy!

She picked out the headband herself and she made sure to being her purse. :)

My girl!

Any stool in the kitchen or bathroom is not safe around Ollie.  He will find it...and he will climb it!

We are wanting to replace our floors with wood so we went out one night looking.  The kids loved playing with the samples when we got home!

Sharing the iPad.

Just doing some light reading at MawMaw's.

Eric and I decided we should invest in a 2nd iPad so each kid has there own. It's insane but our car ride to Will's wedding should hopefully be smooth with each kid watching a movie.

Elle made sure to tell us she wanted the new one and Ollie could have the old one. haha
Ollie got the new one and they both got new cases. What Sissy doesn't know won't hurt her.

This little babe escaped the tub and ran around in the living room in his birthday suit before settling on his couch and trying to as me to turn on Toy Story.
#getbacktothetub

He loves standing on his crib and always tries to pry his little hands out of mine so he can stand without me holding on. He is our daredevil.

Look at those toes clamped on!

Aunt Paige to the rescue! She watched all 3 boys while Mary, Mom, Elle and I went to our dress fitting for the wedding.

Afterwards we headed to a birthday party.
Look at how blonde that hair looks!

Elle loved it!

Her and Henry were inseparable the entire time.

After the soccer field they jumped in the bounce houses.

Then time for pizza and cake! It was so cute to see Ollie sitting with the big kids.

On our ride home we were listening to the Justin Bieber song "Love Yourself" and after the line, "Oh baby, you should go and love yourself"
Elle asked me "mom, why does that baby have to love herself?"

This girl. She makes me laugh everyday!

Life Lately

Well, I survived my weekend away from my babies. I was really nervous leading up to it since the longest I had ever been away from Ollie was 1 day and only 2 days away from Elle. BUT I had fun and more importantly so did they.  There were no tears from anyone. :)

So the Thursday before I left Elle asked for a fun dinner.  So we picked up Chick-Fil-A and had a picnic dinner.  Earlier that day on my lunch break I had stopped at Target and grabbed them these monsters that shoots a ball in the air.

Look how serious Sissy is before shooting the ball.

And Ollie giggles like crazy after the ball goes flying.

I was running around like a crazy lady on Thursday doing laundry, putting away laundry, packing, cleaning...and I had a little helper at my side. :)

And Sissy played us some music as we worked. :)

So while these two were at home having fun with daddy, going to the park everyday and eating ice cream...

I was hanging out with these ladies!

As much fun as I had I was so so so excited to get home to these sweet babies!

On Monday night we met for dinner to celebrate my parents 35th anniversary!

Elle and Henry had no fun whatsoever.

Tuesday and back to our daily grind.
Apparently playing in the rocks is extremely fun for these two.  It even was an idea suggested by Elle for our Summer Fun List.

Check that right off the list!

Naps by this boy. Never ever want to forget holding this little sweet pea while he sleeps.

More monster popper fun.

Eric picked up Elle early from my Mom's so they could try out the new trampoline park by our house.  Elle absolutely loved it!

A walk and ride on her scooter after dinner one night.  Y'all she is the slowest scooter driver known to man.  Like I would have to stop the stroller, hang out, then take a step. But I know it's just a matter of time before she's whizzing past me and I'm yelling "slow down!".

For whatever reason I can not teach this girl to steer.  At all.
Eric practiced with her while I was out of town and apparently she is doing much better.

This boy is always near the fireplace. Always.

And the babes are back at MawMaw's and loving it!

Notice Toy Story on in the background.  Ollie is obsessed.

4th of July

I love the 4th of July. I love the BBQ's, the fireworks, the parade and most of all Henry's annual glow-stick party. :)

I was super bummed to see the weather forecast was filled with rain for the weekend of the 4th but that didn't stop our fun.

We kicked off the celebrating on Sunday the 3rd with a BBQ at my parents house.

That night we had Henry's annual glow-stick party. Always a fun time. :)

All 4 babies ready to get the party started!

The glow-stick party consists of one person playing DJ (me this year) and all the babies dancing like crazy with all the lights out.

We didn't stay to watch the fireworks from my parents house but Elle had a great view of them on our ride home.

When we got home Eric took Ollie inside and Elle and I sat on the driveway and watched more fireworks.  I love hearing them go off all around us.

The next morning we were up bright and early for the parade.

Notice Elle's shoes.  She insists on putting them on herself.
I think it's adorable!

Ready to catch some parade candy!

I think Oliver was wishing he had stayed in bed with daddy. :)

Oliver spent a majprity of the parade in his stroller watching Hotel Transylvania on my fun. #paradepartypooper

When he did get out he tried his best to run in the middle of the street in front of the floats.

How cute does Beary look waving in this picture!!

After the parade Mary and I took the kids to Bread Co. for lunch then back to MawMaw and PawPaw's the night of the 4th.

The humidity fogged up my camera! The kids had a Popsicle eating contest outside.  You'll never guess who won...Henry! :)

Shooting off fireworks.

Headed to the festival.  We didn't have bug spray so Paige suggested we use dryer sheets so Ollie had them stuffed in his shirt. :)

Who doesn't fall asleep in front of an extremely loud live band?!

Just two little best friends dancing to some live music.

Riding with Aunt Paige!

After Doodles passed out Mom and Eric walked him home where he kept sleeping on his MawMaw.

After the festival we went back to Mom and Dad's to shoot off more fireworks.  As we were were we saw 3 lanterns released, they were just like the ones from Tangled.  Elle still talks about them and has asked if she can release one on her birthday which I think is a great idea!

Back home and exhausted!!! Seriously, we were all so worn out from celebrating!
